Clipboard Cuteness!

I am truly impressed with the creativity and craftiness of the writers of the blog, How Does She?  Their collaborative efforts have lead to great decorating ideas, awesome giveaways, and even free printables!

In an effort to nurture my creative spirit and my bank account, I recently created cute clipboards using their tutorial for birthday presents.  What child doesn't like to doodle and draw?  I also thought these would be perfect for a car or restaurant.

To start, I found some $1.00 clipboards at Target and some paint I had already:

I quickly painted both sides of the clipboard, and then smeared Mod Podge on each side.  I glued on some previously trimmed scrapbook paper to both sides.

I tied lots of bright colored ribbon in various widths around the clip, and printed some personalized paper to go with it.  Paired with a set of markers and fun pencils, this makes a fun gift for children, teachers, or friends!

Voila!

As the proud owner of said clipboard, I can say that it's as fantastic as it looks! Good one, friend - an idea I'm definitely gonna steal!
