The ER Minus any Hot Doctors
This post will have to be quick, as I am sitting at my desk and in One Hour, students will be arriving for their first day of school. I wanted to share the excitement that has been going on in our house over the last 48 hours.
As you can imagine, the days before the beginning of a new school year are CRAZY at best. Papers flying every which way, copy machines steaming, sore butts from an endless stream of meetings....you get the idea.
So, one would hope (correction: PRAY) that nothing would go wrong at home to further complicate the madhouse at work.
No. Such. Luck.
At about midnight on Wednesday, this was the scene:
NOT the Mr. Cheeks you all know and love.
So Mr. Cheeks managed to be the star student of his new school, and was the only one to bring home the very best prize....an extremely dehydrating stomach virus.
I know. Iccckkkkk.
So instead of checking on him and seeing his beautiful nursery decor, we had this decor instead:
But wait! What about the amenities?
Our suite came complete with a flat screen. Lucky us.
Long story short, hubby has been off from work for the entire week, and is trying desperately to make it look like Sales are at an all time high from his home office. Yesterday I arrived home from work to find the bar set up...not with margaritas...with every imaginable flavor of Pedialyte! Cheers!
Hopefully Mr. Cheeks will be on the mend soon, Hubby will remain employed, and the 2010-2011 school year will begin smoothly today.
